About BNP
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is a conservative political party in Bangladesh. It is the largest opposition party in the country. The party was founded in 1978 by Ziaur Rahman, who became the first President of Bangladesh after independence from Pakistan. The BNP has been in power for four terms, most recently from 2001 to 2006. The party’s current leader is Khaleda Zia, who has served as Prime Minister of Bangladesh twice.
The BNP is a center-right party that supports free market policies and a strong national defense. The party is also committed to social justice and poverty reduction. The BNP has been criticized for its authoritarian tendencies and its close ties to the military. However, the party remains popular among many Bangladeshis, especially in rural areas.
We are the participants of the demonstration at Muhaddad Asad Platz, Wien, Austria, a political activist group of the Bangladesh National Party (BNP), under the leadership of Begum Kaledia Zia, a migrant resident, and many of us received citizenship of the Europian Union. We, expatriate Bangladeshis, are very concerned about our political situation, legislation, public security, and law and order in Bangladesh.
